DAWN DREAMS is a contemporary circus artist specializing in contact juggling, clown, and ground-level circus arts. Since 2005, she has toured across four continents as a street and stage performer. Her practice blends physical storytelling with philosophy, feminism, and trauma-informed creativity. Dawn’s work centers on neurodivergence, embodiment, and poetic disruption. She holds a Master’s in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies from York University, funded by an SSHRC scholarship, where she created a piece about dyslexia using 3D-printed juggling letters.
She received a Canada Council for the Arts Creation Grant in 2020 for The Juggle-Poetry Project and another research and creations grant in 2024 & 2026 for Descartes’ Terror. —a solo research-creation performance investigating philosophical dissociation and cultural fragmentation through circus, trauma theory, and solo inquiry.
