Based in Sherbooke, Canada, LaboKracBoom was created in 2006 as a collective, and in 2013 as a registered company. Since the beginning, it has created different shows and animations integrating circus, dance and theatre in an innovative way.
The outdoor version of The Laboratory Chronicles was performed more than 200 times in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Europe in various well-known festivals. Since 2011 a theatre version was created and toured in New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario and has won several prizes and showcases: the Francofête en Acadie in 2011, ‘’Best Original Creation’’ by the Cirque du Soleil at the Fringe Montréal 2011, ‘’Coup de pouce’’ by the TOHU at the Vue sur la Relève Festival 2012, the Montreal Complètement Cirque Showcase in 2013, the Contact Ontarois Showcase in 2014, and the Rideau Showcase in 2015 are among them.
The company also performed several other outdoor creations and is holding the Cabaret KracBoom, a yearly event regrouping more than 40 musicians and circus artists.
