As They Strike Collective is a collaboration between contemporary dance artists Chloe Hart and Stefania Skoryna. Our mission is to build a bridge between our contemporary dance practice and the greater community by bringing our work into public space. We believe in working in joy, unlocking the creativity held in the relationship between the body and the imagination. We seek to interrupt the everyday with awe. Our approach is collaborative, both with the dancers and outside artists, such as composer Christine ML Lee, with whom we have worked since 2017. The relationship between music and dance is one of our primary artistic interests. Our work has been produced by the City of Montreal, Les Amis de la montagne, Les Amis de l'insectarium, Festival Quartiers Danses, Festival SOIR, Festival Arts de Ruelles and Patro Villeray.
