The RAR is a non-profit organization that seeks to bring together companies and street artists who practice their artistic disciplines professionally in public spaces and/or outside of conventional cultural venues. It promotes the work of its members from different artistic disciplines and works to support them by providing a variety of initiatives that support their development. It is with audacity, excellence and authenticity that the culture of performance dedicated to the public space finds within the RAR a strong support.

THE PUBLIC WAY

The goal of the CaméRAR project of the Regroupement des arts de rue du Québec is to offer a quality video recording service to street artists in order to provide them with promotional and dissemination material for funders, presenters and cultural partners. The videos created are also relevant artistic objects to invite the general public to discover the street arts.

This year, we had the pleasure of working with videographer Guillaume Audet who, in addition to directing 25 trailers, produced a documentary consisting of a series of interviews with mamy street artists. Together, they looked at the relationship between live performance in public space and its encounter with the crowd. What catches passers-by? What allow the creation of a privileged bond?
